Oxfords are a great addition to your weekend wardrobe.  Oxford shoes have been on trend for women for several seasons now, and it looks like they are here to stay for spring.  These laced-up lovies have been on my mind for a while, but I suddenly feel like I cannot live without a pair.  I am particularly excited about a shiny, silver pair for spring (hello, Loeffler Randall).  Oxfords are inherently casual, but can be dressed up or down to fit your weekend look.  What do they go with?  Literally everything.  As seen here, they look great with flared skirts, boyfriend jeans, skinnies, or printed pants.  I am loving all the options.  Borrowed from the boys, I think they look pretty fabulous on us girls.

Thank goodness it is Friday! Looking forward to a wonderful weekend with gorgeous weather here in Texas!

Sweaters + Skirts

I love the juxtaposition of a slouchy sweater with a mini skirt.  The two are unexpected, yet seemingly perfect together.  As we get ready to switch seasons, this look will serve you well for the transition into spring.  The versatility of this look allows you to dress it down with a knit skirt and moto boots, or style it up for a fancier affair with a flashy skirt and high-heeled booties.

I hope you all have a great weekend! I am looking forward to continuing the birthday celebrations this weekend!

Snow skiing is one of my absolute favorite things to do. You never feel further from the office (and reality for that matter) than at the top of the slope with nothing but white powder and endless mountain landscape surrounding you.  Plus, I love cold sweater and cozy mountain towns. Sadly, I am not taking a ski trip this year. So, when one of my friends asked me to feature outfits for her upcoming ski trip, I jumped at the chance to live vicariously through her. Hey, if you cannot go, plan the outfits, right?

I rarely sacrifice fashion for the weather, but when hitting the slopes, warmth comes first, fashion second.  All you need is a chic jacket and a snazzy hat to be fashionable on the mountain.  Underneath, it is all about the layers.  When out on the town, load up on the accessories for extra warmth.  A little fur trim never hurt either.

Have a favorite ski spot? Let me know! I love Telluride, Colorado, but am always looking for new places to try. Happy weekend!

I am a HUGE fan of the Olympics. I wait for its arrival every two years and am always sad when it is over.  The athletes, their stories, and the fierce competitions between them are so inspiring, so motivating, so exciting! I love watching pretty much every sport, but I will be stalking gymnastics and swimming this summer games. What better way to cheer on team USA than to pull our your red, white, and blue? Plus, I would die for each of these pieces! Let the games begin! Oh, and have a really awesome weekend too! ♥ L
